Terms and Conditions

Terms of Sale

“Buyer” means the person or company who accepts a quotation of the Seller for Goods, or whose Order for Goods is accepted by the Seller.

“Seller” means House Signs In Slate

“Goods” means the items ordered by the Buyer

Natural quarried materials can vary in colour and texture. All Goods are sold subject to these natural variations and therefore cannot be guaranteed identical to any sample, photo or brochure shown. The colour of goods may vary slightly from that shown on the web site due to limitations of browser software and monitors. Sizes shown on an order are approximate rather than exact. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to advise us of any maximum or minimum dimensions at the time of order.   In addition to the above the example sign provided on our website is provided as a guide only and due to the natuaral products used and the engraving process the final sign may not be an exact representation of the example shown.

The Buyer should check the details of the Order and the wording therein of the house sign carefully. Particular care should be taken in the spelling of name. Any alterations should be notified to the Seller within 2 days of the date of the acceptance of the order. The Seller cannot otherwise accept responsibility for any errors on Goods which comply with the terms of an Order.

The Seller will endeavour to deliver the Goods or, if applicable have the Goods available for collection by the Buyer within the time specified, but if completion of any works are delayed through strikes, lockouts, accidents, non-delivery of materials to the Seller or other force majeure, a reasonable extension of time will be allowed. Time shall not be of the essence of the Contract unless expressly agreed by the Seller.

Unless within Devon & Cornwall all signs over 500mm in length will be delivered by pallet (kerbside only) and additional costs will apply.  Please telephone 01752 706388 for prices prior to placing your order online

In the event of damage to the Goods whilst in transit, the Buyer must notify the Seller immediately. The Seller reserves the right to request photographic evidence of any damage. If the Seller is satisfied to the cause of damage, a replacement sign will be sent as soon as possible.

The installation of signs is the sole responsibility of the Buyer.

The Seller will not in any circumstances accept liability for any consequential loss of profits or third party claims or detention or delay or expenses of any kind howsoever caused.

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, VAT is added at the current rate

None of the above terms and conditions affects your statutory consumer rights under UK law
